At Timber Flooring Melbourne, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing happy clients return to us for another project. One of our recent highlights is a beautiful herringbone engineered timber flooring installation in Docklands, where we had the pleasure of working with a family for the second time — and it turned out to be a fantastic experience for everyone involved.

A Returning Customer with a New Apartment

Around 8 months ago, this family, who at the time were living near the border of Victoria and New South Wales, purchased an apartment in Docklands for their son. They reached out to us to supply and install engineered timber flooring for that space. We completed the job with care and precision, and the family was very happy with the end result.

Fast forward to now — the same family has bought a second apartment in the same complex, this time for themselves. Because of their positive experience with us previously, they didn’t hesitate to contact our team again for the flooring work. We were honoured to be trusted with another one of their projects.

Scope of Work

This wasn’t just a standard install — the project had multiple components, and our team took care of everything from preparation to finishing:

Skirting Removal & Reinstallation
We carefully removed the existing skirting boards before flooring began and reinstalled them afterward for a clean, professional finish.
Painting the Entire Apartment
As part of a complete refresh, we also handled the painting work. A fresh coat of paint helped tie everything together and gave the apartment a brand-new feel.
Acoustic Underlay Installation
Living in an apartment requires sound consideration. We installed high-quality acoustic underlay to reduce noise transfer, ensuring comfort for both the residents and their neighbours.
Herringbone Engineered Timber Flooring – Paris Colour
For the floor itself, the family selected our popular Paris colour in herringbone pattern, a sophisticated choice that brought elegance and visual texture to the space. The intricate pattern was installed with precision across the entire apartment.

A Job Well Done, and Wonderful Customers

The job took place over several days, and our installers were dedicated to delivering top-tier craftsmanship throughout. We believe the result speaks for itself — a refined, warm, and luxurious look that completely elevated the space.

We’d also like to take a moment to acknowledge how wonderful the customer was to work with. They paid the full invoice a day before the job was completed, showing absolute trust in our team. That level of confidence means a lot, and we take it seriously.

Final Thoughts

Projects like this are a reminder of why we do what we do. It’s not just about laying down timber — it’s about building lasting relationships and delivering work that makes people proud of their homes.

If you’re considering engineered flooring or herringbone engineered flooring for your space, we’d love to help bring your vision to life.
