LAMINATE FLOORING

Laminated timber flooring is a modern timber look product that has become a trendy choice for today’s flooring requirements as it is a cheapest alternative to other flooring materials such as wood, marble, and ceramic. Available in a wide range of styles, colours such as grey oak, lime wash… and effects laminated floors are extremely durable and tough, the floorboards are being able to withstand heavy traffic as they provide much more impact resistance than other types of floating flooring. One of the main benefits of this type of flooring is how economical it is to install a stain and scratch-resistant surface in homes and offices with an extremely long lifespan. Indentation resistance technology allows it to handle heavy foot traffic with high wear easily and tear, and it is very easy to repair when damaged. If you are looking for an alternative to hardwood flooring that is cheaper, moisture resistant, and won’t fade over time, cheap laminate flooring may exactly what you are looking for and we can help you choose the right style and effect for your particular requirements.

In the review below, we will share with you some of the knowledge about laminate products.

What is the Difference Between Laminate Flooring and Vinyl Flooring? (laminate vs hybrid flooring)

Laminate timber flooring should not be confused with vinyl flooring as there are significant differences (so there’s no such thing as hybrid laminate flooring), with regards to the application, finish, look, and feel of each product. A major difference is that vinyl is a suitable material for use in all areas including wet areas like laundries and bathrooms whereas timber laminate flooring only suited for use in living areas such as bedrooms, lounges, dining rooms, and kitchens. If you’re looking for waterproof laminate flooring, please look for hybrid vinyl instead as they still offer timber look and waterproof. Laminate floorboards in general are water resistant.

How long does a Laminate Floor Last?

With proper installation and care, laminate floorboards can last anywhere between 15 to 25 years, depending on the amount of foot traffic and other incidental damage that may impact the life of a laminate floor.

How much does timber laminate flooring cost?

There’s a reason why cheap laminate flooring often been chosen over other floorboards, because they’re affordable but at the same time durable. Laminate flooring prices in Australia generally cost about 18 $ – 28$ per sqm for 12mm thickness, AC4 materials. And 14$ – 18$ per sqm for 8mm thickness.  Installation laminated wooden flooring is normally around 18$ per sqm these days depends on the conditions of the subfloor and the shape of the area. The cheapest one you can get is around 14$ per sqm for 8mm thickness, but we don’t generally recommend this one as they’re not last long.

Cost of laminate flooring per square metre for supply and install is generally around 50$ per square metre.
